1 April

I made a difference today by showing children at the hockey some moves they didn't understand.

I knew I helped because they said thank you to me .

They felt grateful and happy to now also know the moves.

I felt glad to have been able to help them.

31 March

Today I made a difference by going to BBPS's sport ground and 'playing hockey' with my sister.
She was very bored and also wanted to learn more about hockey.

I knew I helped because I wanted to lie on my bed and read, but she wanted me to go with her.

I felt 'excited' about taking my sister there.

I think she felt very grateful to me for taking her.

30 March

Today I helped my Sunday school teacher packing up the chairs and table.

I knew I helped because she was in a hurry and no one wanted to help her.

I felt glad to have helped her.

I think she felt very grateful.

29 March

Today I made a difference by packing phonebooks and delivering them for our church Cadettes and gems club.

I knew I helped because they were looking for extra people to help.

I felt glad to help.
(and we had lots of fun!!!)

I reckon they felt relieved to have another person helping, and enjoying the day.

28 March

I made a difference today by helping a girl at the Pony Club catch her horse.

The girl was very desperate because Janice (our instructor) told us to hurry up, and the girl couldn't catch the naughty horse.

I knew I helped because the girl was in trouble and I caught her horse for her.
The girl was very thankful and relieved.

I felt glad because she did'nt get into trouble.

27 March 2008

Today I made a difference by looking after our neighbours cat.

I gave the cat its food and patted it. The cat purred all the time.

I knew I made a difference because the lady was very worried about her cat while she went to Christchurch.

I felt happy because I love cats and I like to help someone out.

I think the lady felt very relief to finally have found somebody to look after her cat.

As part of our Inquiry unit, Room 9 from New Zealand has decided to put our topic on Citizenship into practice. We have the challenge of performing one kind deed for each day for 17 days, starting from the 27th of March, 2008. Follow us as we blog our Citizenship journey.

This is a brainstorm that I did on citizenship
